The crisp air of early December kissed her cheeks as she wandered through the quiet woodland, her breath rising in soft clouds. Pines and firs swayed gently in the breeze, their earthy, evergreen scent filling the air.

She had spent the morning foraging for sprigs of these festive delights, along with holly branches abundant with their vibrant red berries in luscious clusters that adorned these deep-green stalks. Each branch she gathered told a story of the season, from the glossy, resilient leaves of ivy to the silvery, aromatic needles of spruce. The ground beneath her boots crunched with the first frost, and the low sun cast a golden hue over the woodland, giving the chilly day a warmth that mirrored the joy building in her heart.
