The manor house was a place where my young gran was in service for many years.
As a child, I was taken there to see the kitchens and scullery where large bunches of dried herbs still hung. Sage and Rosemary had been cut and tied with twine and left to dry from the old nails in the beams. I could imagine that when the fire was lit and the food was cooking on the stove – that the warming scent of the herbs must have been truly intoxicating.
To balance this extraordinary scent, bergamot and geranium have been added to the sage and rosemary and they bring a wonderful flowery and citrus note. A woody aroma comes from a touch of sandalwood to gently round this evocative scent. Made with essential oils.

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep out of the reach of children and pets. Always leave at least 10cm between candles. Do not burn on or near anything that can catch fire. Trim wicks to about 5mm before lighting. Always extinguish the candle and do not relight when the wax level is less than 10mm.
